
ICATT COUNCIL FOR 2025/2026 TERM
Marissa Quashie and Arun Seenath Re-Elected to Lead ICATT’s 2025/2026 Council
Port of Spain, Trinidad-March 28, 2024. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad & Tobago (ICATT) held its 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and first meeting of Council for the period 2025/2026 virtually on March 27, 2025.
99 ICATT members voted electronically on various resolutions including the election of four members to serve on ICATT’s 12-member Council after 4 vacancies arose.
The following resolutions were submitted for approval and were adopted at the 55th AGM:
- The 2024 Annual Report of Council
- The Financial Statements of the Institute for the year ended December 31, 2024, with the auditor’s report thereon.
- Aegis Business Solutions Reappointed as the Institute’s Auditors until the next Annual General Meeting
- Election of Four Members to Council
Following the Annual General Meeting, the first Council Meeting of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) for the 2025/2026 period was convened. At this meeting, Marissa Quashie, Partner, Assurance Services, EY Trinidad & Tobago was re-elected to serve as President, and Arun Seenath, Partner, Taxation, Deloitte, was also re-elected to serve as Vice-President of the Institute.
In her remarks, President Quashie stated “As we begin this new term, I am honored to continue leading ICATT and look forward to working alongside Council, CEO- Marsha Caballero and the Secretariat. Together, we will continue to drive meaningful progress and reinforce the value we bring to our members, the profession, and the wider national community.”
Quashie reinforced that the Council’s aim is to build on the achievements of the past year by advancing strategic initiatives that support ethical leadership, digital transformation, and sustainable growth. She said that “ICATT remains committed to championing the accounting profession’s role in shaping a more transparent, innovative, and inclusive future for Trinidad and Tobago.”
Re-elected members of Council included Adrienne D’Arcy, Country Managing Partner, Ey Trinidad & Tobago, Dinesh Bhola, Founder and Managing Director, DSB Financial Solutions Limited and Haseeb Mohammed, Part Time Lecturer.
Joining the Council of ICATT is Giles Leung, Lead Assurance Partner at Grant Thornton. Giles, having recently completed the Senior Leadership Programme at the Harvard Business School, Giles is keen to further enhance his service contribution to the accounting profession through ICATT having already served as a member on the Auditing and Accounting Standards Committee since the 2019/20 term.
